Cases on sexual harassment appear occasionally across different sectors. Once appeared, the cases pose detrimental consequences to the reputation of the organization. Job candidates might have hesitation on applying job vacancies of the organization. Current colleagues might be panicked by the cases which affects team morale. Colleagues with different genders should entitle a safe and anti-sexual harassment working environment. This will help to attract and retain talents. The importance of preventing sexual harassment can be seen with the Government provides funding to the Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC) to establish a dedicated Anti-Sexual Harassment Unit in 2020.

We have invited Anti-Sexual Harassment Unit of EOC again to hold the seminar on Sex Discrimination Ordinance and Anti-Sexual Harassment in order to enhance participants’ understanding of the main concepts of the Ordinance, and to share how NGOs could incorporate good practices of anti-discrimination and -harassment into daily operations so as to create a safe and anti-sexual harassment working environment.
