Assistant Manager (Research)

To support service development and uphold the quality of research work in the Agency, the incumbent will have to support the execution of various research projects led by the Strategic Planning & Humanitarian Diplomacy (SPHD) department and carry out capacity building activities to cultivate the evidence-based practice culture at Hong Kong Red Cross.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and conduct corporate level research and survey for service development and advocacy
• Develop research framework to testify service model, and perform qualitative and quantitative data analysis
• Disseminate research findings and service insights to general public and key stakeholders  
• Provide professional advice and collaborate with departments in conducting study for service planning and evaluation
• Conduct capacity building activities related to evidence-based practice

Requirements:

• University degree holder in Social Science or related disciplines
• At least 2 years’ working experience in conducting research for service planning, evaluation, or advocacy, preferably in NGO sector
• Solid skills in social research design, conducting interviews, data analysis (both qualitative and quantitative) and report writing
• Professional in using data analysis software is a MUST, including SPSS, Excel, or other statistical analysis tools in the sector
• Knowledge of program planning, monitoring and evaluation is an advantage
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
• Willing to work as a team and able to manage projects independently
