The Food and Health Bureau will release the “blueprint for the sustainable development of primary healthcare services for Hong Kong” in the current-term government, to set a long-term development plan for primary healthcare services in Hong Kong with a view to enhancing public health and quality of life. In order to increase the attention of the social welfare sector and the public to Primary Healthcare and enrich the discussion, this issue of Policy Bulletin ‘Primary Healthcare Policy’ discusses the positioning of the social welfare sector in primary healthcare. Articles also elaborate on medical-social-collaboration, the development of e-health information platform, and the governance structure for primary healthcare.
