Senior Manager – Communications & Digital Fundraising

(2-year contract, Renewable)

[Ref.: FCU/SMCDF/24/01]

 

Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for overseeing and driving the organization’s digital fundraising efforts and shaping its communications strategy.
  • Lead Digital Fundraising teams, to develop and execute a comprehensive digital fundraising strategy aligned with the organization’s goals
  • Identify and leverage emerging trends and technologies in digital fundraising to one-off digital donations and donors’ engagement on digital fundraising.
  • Develop and implement innovative digital fundraising campaigns, manage online platforms, and leading a team of digital fundraising and communications professionals to achieve fundraising goals and effectively communicate the organization’s mission to stakeholders.
  • Lead the charting of communications and engagement strategy and delivery of results through all the development and execution of innovative digital fundraising campaigns and utilize data-driven insights and analytics to optimize campaign performance and donor conversion rates.
  • Lead and manage the Communications Team, which comprises corporate communications, marketing communications, digital communications, and editorial teams, to formulate and execute plans and budgets to deliver the Oxfam goals and objectives in Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and mainland China (Greater China Region).
  • Collaborate internally and external creative teams to develop compelling campaign content, including videos, graphics, and written materials.
  • Work closely with and support communications needs of the Directorate, Fundraising Unit and Programme Units. Serve as a gatekeeper and ensure the quality of communications outputs of the Agency.
  • Provide strategic direction and guidance to the digital fundraising and communications team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other departments, such as appeal teams, and program teams, to ensure integrated and cohesive messaging across all channels.
  • Represent the Agency in local and international communities to inspire and engage support to Oxfam mission.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree in Communications, Marketing, Development & International studies or equivalent.
  • Had at least 10 years of relevant working experience, of which 5 years on managerial grade. Candidates with less experience will be considered as Manager – Communications & Digital Fundraising.
  • Extensive experience in communications, public relations, brand management in Greater China. Prior experience in non-profit organizations is preferred.
  • Leadership and management experience and skills suited for a medium-sized non-profit organization, and ability to adapt to and manage complex organizational settings.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make difficult decisions. Preparedness to work flexible hours as required including rostered weekends
  • Ability to lead and manage a culture that is positive, supportive and results focused. High attention to detail and risk management.
  • Knowledge and networks with multi-sectors (commercial, non-profit, government, social) in Greater China region.
  • Excellent command in spoken and written English & Chinese (including Putonghua)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with entrepreneurial aptitude and creativity.
  • Proficient in computer applications including MS Office and Chinese word processing.
  • Excellent presentation skills for communication with multi-stakeholders of Agency.
  • Identification with Oxfam’s mission and vision is a must.
