Resource Development Manager

 

Job Purpose:

To provide leadership for the fundraising team in Communications & Resource Development (CRD) and to manage the Major Giving Team. He/She works closely with the Department Head and Senior Manager to lead the development and execution of resource development strategies, specifically targeting Trusts and Foundations and fundraising events related to this segment. He/She will ensure the delivery of effective operations and drive the implementation and action necessary to achieve the annual fundraising targets.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Senior Resource Development Manager to devise and implement robust resource development strategies for Major Giving, with a special focus on Trusts, Foundations, and fundraising events aimed at engaging major donors.
  • Provide strategic leadership, direction, and support to the Major Giving team, identifying new funding / sponsorship opportunities and nurturing existing donor relationships.
  • Manage crucial donor interactions, and design and implement comprehensive donor recognition programs and stewardship activities.
  • Work closely with various service teams across the organization to align fundraising initiatives with program goals and the broader organizational objectives.
  • Oversee the development of fundraising budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure resources are allocated efficiently and cost-effectively.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, preferably in Business Development, Marketing or Resources Development
  • Minimum 5 years post-graduation and relevant working experience, in which at least 3 years managerial level in marketing, business development, fundraising or related business fields
  • Experience in the NGO sector, with a strong understanding of Corporate Partnerships and Fundraising Campaigns & Events, is highly desirable.
  • Excellent command of both written and oral English, Chinese / Cantonese / Putonghua
  • Mature personality, strategic-minded with vision, strong interpersonal, decision-making, management, and leadership skills.
  • Familiar with the operational environment and culture of nonprofit organizations
