Newsletter on Palliative and End-of-Life Care Service: “Understanding Death Literacy” (only Chinese version)

Against the background of aging population and an increasing expectation about the long term and end of life care, care planning and related dying choice has lately become an important topic of concern in Hong Kong recently. In view of the concern over respect to patient self-determination and improvement of their quality of life at the terminal stage, the government will implement advance directives in this year and continuously promote dying in place to increase the end of life care and dying choice. To equip the sector with knowledge of the related topics, the Council publishes “Newsletter on Palliative and End-of-Life Care Service”. HKEX Impact Funding Scheme Briefing Session

HKEX Foundation has set up the HKEX Impact Funding Scheme (the Scheme) to support local recognised Social Enterprises (SEs). The Scheme, in partnership with The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS), aims to support SEs to develop innovative, impactful and scalable solutions based on four focus areas: Financial Literacy, Social Empowerment, Talent Development and Environmental Sustainability, serving a wide spectrum of people in need and addressing various social and environmental challenges. Talent Arrival: The Impact and Beyond

Over the past few years, Hong Kong's demographics have undergone significant shifts. Following a period of outward migration and workforce depletion, the subsequent influx of new talents has not only replenished the labour pool but also reshaped the city’s population structure. The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) has long been attentive to population policy, seeking to gain deep insights into these critical changes and their far-reaching implications. To this end, we have interviewed newly arrived talents, business leaders, scholars, and representatives from social service organizations. Their perspectives on existing talent initiatives, Hong Kong’s unique advantages, and the integration of talent into daily life will be featured in the March issue of the HKCSS Policy Bulletin.
